"The Cryptographer" is Pomegranate Tiger's newest, heaviest & and most rhythmically dense offering since the release of "Boundless" their last album released in 2015.

"The Cryptographer" is a part-story of a larger concept about a futuristic world in which a super advanced AI in a distant world tries to convince the world’s brightest living philosopher to merge with itself in order to save civilization from collapse. The Cryptographer aims to inflame the controversies surrounding AI, cryptocurrencies and where these technologies are headed. “The Cryptographer” as depicted in the artwork is the result of the worlds greatest thinker/philosopher merging with the AI and now having complete control of the digital metaverse. The end result is that the Cryptographer now controls what information can be viewed, accessed or sent by anyone in each universe.

This new piece of music aims to bring attention to the explosive growth, rapid advancement and fears of current digital technologies like AI, DNA sequencing, Robotics, and Blockchain. 
The artwork and entire music video was entirely designed and created by an artificial intelligence depicting a futuristic world in which the most powerful AI, and the smartest living humans must merge together to avoid total and complete civilizational collapse.
The music video behind The Cryptographer has roughly 10,000 uniquely detailed individual art frames where each frame took the AI about 20 min to generate and “draw”. That equals out to a total of ~9 months w/ the AI working 12 hour days to complete this video. This was all reduced down and edited to a total of 4 min run time to accompany the music for what is now “The Cryptographer”.
